MANATEE - Despite losing its executive director a little more than a year ago, the Gulf Coast Latin Chamber of Commerce is pushing ahead with a new board and a renewed vision.
Membership is hovering around the 250 mark and the chamber’s big annual fundraising event is just around the corner, the Latin Gala Nov. 19 at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club. The black-tie optional fundraiser in Lakewood Ranch raised $5,000 last year for scholarships the chamber gives out in the community. The goal for this year - $10,000.
“We are progressively moving forward,” said Stacey Carollo, chairperson for the chamber’s Communications Committee.
