MANATEE — With the income tax filing deadline approaching, volunteers with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and AARP are offerings help.
Low and moderate income families and those over the age of 60 qualify for the free tax help.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and AARP Tax Aide sites in Manatee and Sarasota counties can help efile tax returns at no cost.
Volunteer tax preparation schedules for both Manatee and Sarasota Counties can be found through United Way’s community helpline. Dial 2-1-1 or from a cell phone call (941) 308-4357.
