MANATEE -- The morning rain is likely to continue through most of the morning Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Showers and maybe a thunderstorm are possible before 10 a.m., and there is a slight chance of showers between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The high temperature was expected to hit 74, with southerly winds becoming west-northwesterly.
Tonight's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and a low of about 55.
For Saturday, the Weather Service called for mostly sunny skies and a high near 74.
