Two thefts reported at Manatee Walmart stores

BRADENTON -- Thefts at two Bradenton Walmart stores were reported on Thursday, arrest reports show.

At about 5:30 a.m., Yaradalexis Gutierrez, a Walmart employee at 5315 Cortez Road, grabbed $800 from the cash register and shoved it in her front pocket, an arrest report said.

The theft was spotted by a loss prevention employee and captured on video surveillance.

Gutierrez, 18, was charged with grand theft.

At another Walmart, 2911 53rd Ave. E., Kevin Dubois concealed a drill and four LED lights under his shirt, an arrest report said.

Dubois, 46, also tucked an antenna in his left front pocket, the report said.

When he was about to leave the store, he was stopped by loss prevention. The total in stolen items: about $145. He was charged with felony petit theft, the report said.
