After morning chill, high in Bradenton should hit the upper 60s Thursday

MANATEE -- You might want to wear a heavier coat as you head to work or school this morning.

As of 6 a.m., it was 46 degrees, but the winds made it feel like 41. But the National Weather Service was predicting a warmup, with a forecast including sunny skies and a high near 68, with north-northeasterly winds of between 9 mph and 13 mph.

For tonight, forecasters were calling for partly cloudy skies and a low of 58 with light winds.

On Friday, forecasters were calling for a high of 73. Fans heading to high school playoff games need to remember to wear at least a sweatshirt, with an expected low of 58 with northeasterly winds 8 mph.

During the weekend, highs were expected to be in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s.

The next chance of rain -- 20 percent -- is on Sunday, according to the Weather Service.
