Four arrested in Manatee after stolen jet ski found attached to trailer

MANATEE -- The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office arrested four people on Wednesday after a deputy discovered the jet ski on the back of the trailer they were in was stolen.

At 11:48 p.m., the deputy stopped the trailer because it did not have a tag. Authorities confirmed that the jet ski attached to the back of the trailer was stolen.

The four people inside the vehicle -- Stephen Stevens, 20; Scott Tucker, 21; Katherine White, 18; and a juvenile -- were arrested and charged with loitering and prowling.

White and Stevens were charged with possession of marijuana after authorities found marijuana on them, according to the sheriff’s office.

Tucker and Stevens were also charged with grand theft greater than $10,000 after a search warrant was executed at Tucker’s home on the 3600 block of East 19th Street in Bradenton. Authorities found stolen items, most of it belonging to neighbors, a media release said.

Further charges are pending.
