MANATEE — Four teenage boys were arrested early Saturday after they were seen loitering and prowling in a Parrish neighborhood, the Manatee County sheriff’s office reported.
One suspect was bitten by a K-9 dog after he resisted arrest, the report said.
Several deputies and K-9 deputies responded to the area, in the 11500 block of Walden Loop, in Kingsfield Lakes. After a brief chase on foot, the suspects were apprehended within the neighborhood.
But one suspect refused to stop after being warned by a K-9 deputy, whose K-9 then stopped the suspect “via a bite,” the report stated.
The suspect was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released for the dog bite. His parents were notified and he was then transported to a juvenile facility.
All four suspects were arrested and charged with loitering, prowling and resisting arrest without violence.
