Holmes Beach police release photograph of home invasion suspects

HOLMES BEACH -- The Holmes Beach Police Department released a photograph of two women it says are suspects in a home invasion robbery in the city earlier this week.

A woman was robbed of cash, jewelry and her car during the incident. Her assailants also bound her, according to police.

Police say they acquired the photograph during their investigation.

The robbery happened Tuesday morning in the 4900 block Second Avenue.

The suspects "knocked on the door and when it was answered by the victim they pushed open the door and bound and covered the head of the female victim. No weapons were exhibited," a news release stated.

After grabbing the items, the women fled in the victim's 2007 blue Hyundai Tucson SUV, Florida tag number G157YB, police said.

The victim was able to free herself and made contact with a construction crew, which called law enforcement, according to police.

One of the suspects was shorter with possible facial piercings on the lower lip. The second suspect was taller and with longer hair. Both suspects had on knit type hats and one was wearing green cargo pants cut off below the knee. according to police.
