Cooler temperatures will follow the thunderstorms and heavy rain hitting the region this morning.
More rain is expected throughout the day as more showers move on shore from the Gulf of Mexico.
According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Juli Marquez, the morning rain will be heavy at times with some lightning and gusty winds.
Today's high temperatures will be in the 60s, but they'll dip into the 40s to start the weekend.
Marquez said temperatures will struggle to reach 60 degrees on Saturday, while some areas could get close to the freezing mark to start Sunday.
