USF student pulls knife on classmates

TAMPA -- A University of South Florida student has been charged with pulling a knife on classmates after complaining that they were being disruptive.

USF police say 19-year-old David Gerald Moseley had asked his professor to kick the group out of the Tuesday evening class in the theater and arts department. Outside after the class, police say Moseley confronted the group -- two women and one man -- and pulled out a knife with a four-inch blade.

The victims say Moseley walked away after a few moments without saying anything. No one was injured.

Police arrested Moseley later that night and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was later released on $2,000 bail.

USF doesn’t allow weapons on campus.
