MANATEE -- Two intruders robbed seven people during a home invasion late Wednesday in Bradenton, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
About 10:12 p.m., the assailants entered a residence in the 2500 block of Fourth Street East through a sliding glass door and ordered the seven people inside to the ground and to empty their pockets. During the robbery, one of the robbers used a handgun to hit one of the victims on the head, according to a news release.
The intruders then fled north on Fourth Street East and got into a four-door Toyota.
Responding deputies canvassed the area and were able to develop information on a possible suspect based on a witness statement, according to the report.
The injured man was treated at the scene for a minor laceration to the head, according to the sheriff’s office.
