MANATEE -- A 68-year-old man died from injuries suffered in a Bradenton house fire late Tuesday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Firefighters found Nathaniel Brown on the floor of a living room in a house in the 1400 block of 21st Avenue East. He had second- and third-degree burns over his entire body, according to a news release.
Brown died while being flown by helicopter to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.
Southern Manatee Fire Rescue responded to the blaze about 9:45 p.m. after neighbors reported seeing black smoke coming from the roof.
The cause of the fire appears to have been accidental, according to the sheriff's office.
