MANATEE — A 45-year-old man had more than $70,000 in valuables stolen after he left his car unlocked, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
His car was in the garage unlocked in the 400 block of 169th Court East in Bradenton when someone entered it and stole a gold presidential Rolex watch valued at $30,000, a platinum presidential Rolex watch valued at $40,000 and a GPS unit.
Deputies believe the incident took place between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Aug. 8.
Authorities continue to encourage residents to lock their doors and to remove valuables from vehicles to deter thieves.
