Driver dies in fiery crash in Duette

DUETTE -- An unidentified driver died in a fiery crash on State Road 62 about 3:20 a.m. Sunday.

The accident, six-tenths of a mile west of Scarborough Road, occurred when a 2001 Chevrolet utility was east-bound on S.R. 62, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

As the driver attempted to negotiate a curve, the vehicle went onto the the south shoulder of the road, over-corrected, and rotated counter-clockwise onto S.R. 62.

The vehicle overturned, hit a power pole, and burst into flames.
