Police: Bradenton woman drops pants and throws punches

BRADENTON — A 54-year-old woman was arrested after she reportedly punched a man in the face twice after he confronted her for dropping her pants on his property, according to a Bradenton Police Department arrest report.

Linda V. Johnson, of Bradenton, was near a window of a residence in the 700 block of 12th Avenue West when the man’s 7-year-old child noticed the woman at midnight Wednesday.

The woman was not exposing herself to the child, according to the report.

When the man exited his residence to confront her, Johnson still had her pants down and was trying to hide in some bushes in the southeast corner of the property, according to the report.

The man followed Johnson as she began walking west on 12th Avenue West. Johnson then approached the man and punched him in the face, according to the report. The man held Johnson on the ground until police arrived on scene.

Johnson was arrested on a battery charge and remained in jail Wednesday night on a $750 bond.

Johnson was arrested last month on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and obstruction, according to court records.
