MANATEE — A 42-year-old pizza man was nearly robbed at gun point Friday night, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
A robber wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black shorts brandished a black handgun and held it to the delivery man’s head while he was sitting inside his car just after a delivery at 7:27 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of 59th Avenue East.
The robber said, “Give me all your money.”
The delivery man replied, “No man,” and then put the car in drive speeding away. He saw the suspect run east on 59th Avenue East.
Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate a man matching the suspect description.
