Students and employees at State College of Florida have joined relief efforts to aid Haitians after the recent earthquake.
The community can make monetary donations beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday at SCF’s Scholarship Flea Market or donate funds, clothes and medical supplies at 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 19, and Friday, Jan. 22, at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., at the Performance Pavilion in the campus center. Items will be donated to the Salvation Army and other charitable organizations providing relief to Haiti.
SCF’s other Haitian relief efforts:
• The Student Government Association at SCF Venice plans to display photos of SCF students whose families were affected by the earthquake and collect donations for the American Red Cross at Club Rush.

• The SCF Haitian Club will provide entertainment with Haitian music and spearhead a drive to collect monetary donations, clothes and medical supplies during the upcoming Club Rush. Students and employees will also be invited to make monetary donations to the American Red Cross and other trusted organizations.
• SCF’s Florida Association of Community Colleges chapter will be accepting donations.
