MANATEE — A woman who died in a fiery crash on Interstate 75 near Prime Outlets-Ellenton Saturday afternoon has been identified by the Florida Highway Patrol as Paige Sedgley, 40.

The crash left five others, including a 3-year-old girl, hospitalized .

A Toyota Sequoia sport utility vehicle veered from northbound Interstate 75 into the southbound lanes of the highway and collided with a Ford pickup truck at around 4:30 p.m. in front of Prime Outlets-Ellenton, witnesses said, according to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. William Pascoe.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of I-75 for more than an hour, snarling traffic for miles. Traffic eventually began to move when FHP troopers allowed traffic to go around using a shoulder in the highway.
