2 juveniles arrested for trying to break into Manatee business

MANATEE - Two juveniles were arrested Thursday after they were spotted trying to break in to a closed business in the 1100 block of Whitfield Avenue, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The back window of the business has plywood over a broken back window, which is due to past break-ins. The suspects, both juveniles, were seen about 4:48 p.m. using several boards and rocks to try to remove the plywood. After about 10 minutes, they gave up and left the scene, according to a news release.

A deputy responded, and during a search of the area found the suspects walking through yards at Connecticut Avenue and Carmella Circle. The deputy detained them, and witnesses were able to identify the suspects as the ones who were trying to break into the business, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspects were arrested and taken to the Juvenile Booking Facility.
