No one hurt in Manatee drive-by shooting

MANATEE - A teenager reported that a drive-by gunman fired several shots at him early this morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The victim said he was sitting on the hood of his vehicle, which was parked in front of his residence in the 3300 block of 14th Street East, about 4:15 a.m. when he saw a vehicle driving slowly on 14th Street. The victim said he felt something was not right so he got off of the hood and stood behind the vehicle, according to a news release.

The victim saw a passenger in the vehicle roll down a window and fire four shots in his direction.

All four bullets struck the front of the house next to where the victim was standing. The vehicle then sped off.

No one was injured.
