'Suspicious' fire damages tractors on E. Manatee farm

MANATEE - The Manatee County Sheriff's Office was investigating a "suspicious" fire that damaged three tractors and other vehicles and equipment on an East Manatee farm, according to a news release.

Deputies in the sheriff's office helicopter spotted the fire about 1:22 a.m. today at Precision Farms, which is in the 4200 block of 222nd Street East, in East Manatee.

Deputies on the ground found three tractors, a minivan and other equipment were on fire. A fire marshal ruled that the blaze, which caused $90,000 in damage, was "suspicious" in origin, according to the release.
