The Southwest Florida Water Management District announced new water restrictions in February that apply to Manatee County residents. The following is a schedule of when residents can water their lawn or use water for washing vehicles.
The schedule is based on home addresses.
Monday: Addresses ending in 0 or 1
Tuesday: Addresses ending in 2 or 3

Wednesday: Addresses ending in 4 or 5
Thursday: Addresses ending in 6 or 7
Friday: Addresses ending in 8 or 9.
In addition, properties on these watering days that are two acres or less must water from 12:01 a.m.- 8 a.m. or from 6 p.m.- 11:59 p.m. Properties that are two acres or larger are allowed to water from 12:01 a.m.-10 a.m. or 4 p.m.-11:59 p.m.
Florida averages 54.02 inches of rain a year, of which 9.78 inches typically comes during the first three months of the year. The Southwest Florida Water Management District has declared that the Tampa Bay region is suffering a three-year drought and 30-inch rainfall deficit.
