MANATEE – A Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy shot a man with a Taser stun gun who nearly hit him with a car Tuesday. The sheriff’s report said at 11 p.m., Tuesday, a deputy found Andellon Hayes, 27, of Bradenton, passed out behind the wheel of a car with the vehicle running in the 5300 block of Ninth Street East. When the deputy woke Hayes up, he became irate and drove the car forward, nearly hitting the deputy, the sheriff’s report said. Hayes then ran from the car and the deputy shot him with a Taser in the back. The deputy arrested Hayes on charges of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest without violence and driving with a suspended license. Hayes was being held without bond in the Manatee County jail.
