The Emmy weekend events continued with the General Hospital Emmy Weekend Extravangza, which was situated in the Studio City of LA at the Sportsman' Lodge Hotel. There were many GH stars in attendance including last night's Emmy winner for Best Supporting Actor, Rick Hearst!
I have met Rick before and he is a great guy! He was excited about winning the Emmy and was taking pictures with the fans holding the Emmy. Yours truly got a pic with Rick and congratulated him on his win. He will be doing an interview for the Web site in the future about his working with Tony Geary on GH as well as the indie flick "Carpool Guy" they made last year along with many other soap stars, if you haven't seen this movie, check it out - it is very funny. Also in attendance was Bradford "Spinelli" Anderson, who has become a very popular character in the past year on GH, and actress Renee Goldsberry sang a song and she was wonderful.
I moved onto the conjested freeway (We have it made driving around Bradenton - I won't complain again! LOL) to Santa Monica. There was an appearance at the Artist's One Gallery of the official Emmy artist Fazzino (http://www.fazzino.com), who's 3-D art is incredible. He signed a poster he designed from last year's Emmy's for me. Also appearing was GH star Rebecca "Elizabeth" Herbst and I talked with her and her husband, actor Michael Saucedo at some length.
Rebecca was nominated for best supporting actress last night and lost to sentimental favorite Genie Francis but Rebecca didn't mind at all. She said she loves Genie and was happy for her win. She is a gracious and lovely gal. It was a nice ending to another busy day. Tomorrow will be here before I know it!
