Gospel trio: The Bradenton Breakfast Club will present a Nashville-based southern gospel trio, McMillan & Life, Feb. 24 at Bill Bailey’s Happy Gospel Center, 1915 53rd Ave. E. Jimmy McMillan, singer, songwriter and leader, has been travelling and singing professionally for 11 years, with major singing groups like The Wilburns, Toney Brothers, and the Heartland Boys. Also performing is his wife, Liz Edwards McMillan, and Devin Brumfield.
Doors open at 8:45 a.m., concert begins at 9:30 a.m. Ticket donations, $8 per person, include continental breakfast.
Temple talent: Temple’s Got Talent show is set at Temple Sinai, 4631 South Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, for 5-9 p.m. Feb. 26 with members displaying their abilities in singing, dancing, acting, musicianship and more. Festive Shabbat: Temple Emanu-El, 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, will host an intergenerational celebration of Shabbat at 7 p.m. March 4. It will feature lively, upbeat music with the Family Shabbat Band; prayers led by religious school students; a performance by the Temple Emanu-El Youth Choir, and Rabbi Brenner Glickman’s storytelling.
