Gospel & Games: Palmetto Historical Park and Agricultural Museum’s “Gospel & Games Social” will be held 5:30-8 p.m. today. The Wares Creek Boys, Allison-Spencer and Sam Lane will perform. Student orchestra: The Longboat Island Chapel will feature the Electa Lee Magnet School orchestra at the 10 a.m. service April 11. Sunday is the chapel’s Friends and Family day. The public is welcome and tickets are $5 for the picnic.

Piano concert: Russian pianist Eleonora Lvov will present two free concerts to benefit Sarasota and Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowships. The concerts are set for 4 p.m. April 11 at Unitarian Universalist Church of Sarasota, 3975 Fruitville Road, and 4 p.m. April 18 at Manatee Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 322 15th St. W., Bradenton. Jazz in the Chapel: First United Methodist Church, 104 S. Pineapple Avenue, Sarasota, will have the final concert on the Jazz in the Chapel series 4-5 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. April 11 and will feature the trio of Johnny Moore on drums, Dominic Mancini on bass; and Charlie Prawdzik on piano accompanying special guest Bill Allred playing trombone. Preschool open house: Families looking for a nurturing, accredited preschool are invited to the open house at Temple Emanu-El Preschool, 151 McIntosh Road, Sarasota, at 9:30 a.m. April 15. Family Night: CrossPointe Fellowship, 8605 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach, invites your family to Family Night 6-8 p.m. April 30. The evening starts with free pizza for the entire family, followed by a DVD presentation on “Relating with Money” for parents and teens. Special prom: Faith Christian Church will host the second Prom for Manatee and Sarasota Residents with Special Needs 7-9:30 p.m. April 23. The church will extend invitations to special needs programs in seven area high schools. The goal is to make this a memorable event for these special individuals. Faith Christian Church is asking local businesses and the Manatee and Sarasota communities to step up in an effort to supply transportation, attire, salon services, food and photography. Golf outing: Northminster Presbyterian Church, 3131 61st St., Sarasota, will have its annual golf outing April 24 the Meadows Country Club.
