SARASOTA — The South West Florida Coalition for Peace and Justice is sponsoring the 23rd annual World Peace Day in Sarasota 10:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Friday.
The free event will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 3975 Fruitville Road.
Six speakers are scheduled to discuss world peace as it relates to their faith including Buddism, Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Earth-centered and Sufi.
The main speaker will be Andy Blanch, founder and chairman of the Center for Religious Tolerance in Sarasota.
Sixteen organizations will have information to share during the lunch hour. There also will be a peace workshop.
