Soon many will celebrate Easter, Resurrection Day. The thought of what this means overwhelms my heart and soul. I am so thankful for the Cross of Christ and I shout a shout of praise for the empty tomb! Someone once asked me what the difference was between Christianity and other religions. The answer is both simple and immeasurably powerful. Christ has risen!
The resurrection of Jesus Christ not only provides eternal life in Heaven when we die, but it also bestows the power of Heaven on earth while we live. We are given the power to live victoriously no matter the trial or tribulation we face. We have the power to represent Jesus when we pray for the sick, or pray for those who are bound and the power to share the Gospel of the Kingdom with unconditional love. He gives us the power to demonstrate the reality of the King of Kings and bring His solutions to the kingdoms of this world. I am hungry for that kind of power!
While the advertising and marketing of our ministries helps to communicate a place for people to go, we should never allow it to replace the plan of our King that guarantees increase.
“Jesus speaking: And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’” Mark 16:15-18 NKJV

In the book of Acts a crippled man from birth is healed and thousands are added to the church. Now that’s power. That’s a church growth program!
Now for those of you who may be reading this article who have never said yes to Jesus, consider allowing this Easter weekend to be for you. Beyond anything else we could ever share with you, we offer you Jesus. Regardless of who you are, or what you’ve done, God really does love you. He sent His Son who paid the ultimate price for you. He died for your sins, but death could not hold Him. Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, you too can have a new and eternal life. All you need to do is ask Him into your heart today.
Welcome to the Kingdom!
