Palmetto animal shelter to host Saturday adoption event

MANATEE -- As the kennels at Manatee County Animal Services continue to be over capacity, the Palmetto shelter is hosting an adoption event this Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Adopt-O De Mayo will take place at the shelter, 305 25th St. W., Palmetto.

During the event, which will also have tacos and music, there will be $55 adoptions, five $5 surprise poncho pups and eight free hard luck hounds adoptions.
