County animal services open later, half price adoptions
MANATEE -- Manatee County Animal Services will have extended hours on Saturday.
The county animal shelter at 305 25th Street W., Palmetto, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Adoptions will be half price at $40 and any animal that has been at the shelter for more than 30 days will only be available for a $15 adoption fee.
Also on Saturday, Manny the Manatee County Animal Services Wonder Dog will hand out candy to kids. There also will be a contest to name the new "Opt to Adopt" van.
