Feb. 28-April 4 : The next program for tennis lessons at the Manatee County YMCA Bradenton Branch, 3805 59th St. W., begins Feb. 28. The six-week program is held at the Sugg Middle School tennis courts on Saturday mornings. Information: 792-7484.
February : The Ellenton Ice and Sports Complex will hold public skating from 10 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday, 8-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 1-3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. The cost is $8 for regular admission, $6 for seniors (55 and older) and free for children 3-under. Skate rental is $3.
Through March 7 : Bradenton Country Club will hold a varsity youth team tennis league for grades K-5. There is a minimum of four players and a maximum of eight per team. The cost is $75 a child for the six-week league that includes team T-shirts, tennis balls, trophies, racquets and an awards party.
