Why Tom Brady's New Product Launch Has Social Media Buzzing and Doing Double-Takes

A lot of credit should be given to future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. In his second act, the legendary NFL quarterback has been proving he's quite the force off the football field. Since retiring, he's become a lead NFL analyst for Fox Sports, hosted his own celebrity roast on Netflix, dabbled in comedy roasting other celebs, and is still raking in the endorsement deals. Case in point, his multi-year partnership with on-demand commerce company Gopuff.

That being said, it's his partnership with Gopuff and the release of their latest product that really have people talking. On June 8, Gopuff launched its coconut water line, and Brady was on hand as the face of the new product. However, it's the name of these beverages and the subsequent commercial that has social media all abuzz.

Tom Brady and Gopuff launch Good Nut Coconut Water

Good Nut is being marketed as a premium line of organic coconut water that comes in three flavors: Original Coconut Flavor, Chocolate Coconut Water, and Sparkling Coconut Water. Per Gopuff's press release:

"Good Nut offers a premium alternative to over-processed sports drinks. Sourced from organic Vietnamese coconuts and with no added sugars, Good Nut delivers a clean, refreshing hydration experience in a sleek 11.8 oz can. True to Brady's disciplined approach to nutrition, the entire line contains no added sweeteners and nothing artificial."

Additionally, the company claims that health-conscious consumers can get Good Nut's "elite-level hydration delivered in as fast as 15 minutes." If you're hoping to score a can of coconut water, you can do so by going directly to the Gopuff product store.

Brady's Conventional Ad Has the People Talking, Including a Famous Rapper

Brady and Gopuff clearly know that Good Nut is an interesting, if not downright provocative, product name. They play up the unconventional product name in the following commercial, in which Brady talks up the beverage to a woman over the phone, but never names it, despite her numerous requests. Take a look for yourself.

As you can imagine, people across social media have had lots of opinions about Good Nut and Brady's promo. Here are just a few of the responses found on X (formerly Twitter), including a comment from rapper Sexy Redd.

Again, if you want to taste the Good Nut coconut water, head on over to their store.
