MANATEE -- Scattered showers throughout Manatee County on Saturday may put a slight damper on the Grand Parade.
Nicole Carlisle, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service, said the showers won't be heavy and will be brief.
"It's going to be kind of hit or miss for the most part," Carlisle said. "That's kind of what it's going to be like through the evening hours. It's not going to be anything long term."
Temperature tonight is expected to remain in the low-to-mid 80s.
The rain showers are expected to end later tonight.
On Sunday, the county should anticipate a 10 to 20 percent chance of rain, Carlisle said. "Fairly similar to day, I would think."
The Grand Parade, organized by the Hernando DeSoto Historical Society, is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Thousands of spectators are expected to attend.
