There was a great crowd Thursday at the annual Empty Bowls luncheon to benefit the Food Bank of Manatee. The Food Bank hosted the first half of its annual fundraiser at Renaissance on 9th, 1816 Ninth St. W., Bradenton. “Second helpings” will be served 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. today on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch. Attendees can purchase a bowl to keep, enjoy soup from local restaurants, music, prize drawings and door prizes. All proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of Manatee.
