Celebrate America Live

When: 7 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday

Where: Christian Retreat Conference Center, 1200 Gloryway Blvd., East Manatee

Activities: Patriotic songs and a review of Americana from the 1950s to the present by Randy Estelle, a recording and performing artist with the Celebrate America Live Singers and Band and guest vocalist Jim Pierce.

Admission: Tickets available on line at www.randyestelle live.com, or at the Christian Retreat reception desk; two to seven tickets in advance are $14 each; eight or more in advance are $10 each. Single tickets are $18 (and the day of the performance at the door).

When: Fireworks start around 9:15 p.m.

Anna Maria Island Privateers’ July Fourth parade

When: 10 a.m.

Where: Begins at Coquina Beach and ends at Bayfront Park on Anna Maria Island. An after party will be held at Cafe on the Beach from noon to 4 p.m. featuring the Privateers’ annual scholarship award ceremony and live music. Food and drink will be available for purchase.

DAV July 4 Celebration

When: 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Where: The Disabled American Veterans Post, 111 63rd Ave., Bradenton

Activities: Live band, prize drawings and food. Open to the public. All proceeds go to needy veterans and special community events.

Admission: $3 donation

Beachhouse Fireworks Extravaganza

When: 7 p.m. with fireworks starting at 9:15 (weather permitting)

Where: 200 Gulf Drive N., Bradenton Beach

Activities: Open bar, appetizer and dinner buffet, dessert, party favors with a great view of fireworks

Admission: $70 per person (includes one parking pass) or $560 for a table of eight (includes two parking passes)

City of Palmetto Independence Day Celebration

When: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Where: Riverside Park West and Riverside Drive, Palmetto

Activities: Rides, food, games and family entertainment with live music on Riverside Drive. There also will be Lance’s Cruzin the Hop car show and a motorcycle show. Greetings from Mayor Shirley Groover Bryant at 6 p.m. followed by a salute to the American flag. Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m.

Activities: Vendors; fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

Mattison’s Riverside Fourth of July VIP Fireworks Celebration

When: 6 p.m.

Where: 1200 First Ave. W., Bradenton

Activities: Dinner includes all-American specialties such as barbecue ribs, barbecue chicken, potato salad, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, baked beans, coleslaw and homemade apple pie. There also will be clams, mussels, scallop kabobs and shrimp on the menu. VIP seating for fireworks on the river, dancing and music.

Gloria Musicae presents “A Spectacular Fourth”

When: 4 p.m.

Where: Historic Asolo Theatre, 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota

Activities: Led by Joseph Holt, former official pianist of the United States Army Chorus, this concert will feature popular favorites, including a rendition of the “Armed Forces Salute.” The concert will include a musical visit to America’s great cities and a look at the American experience through song.

Activities: Children’s games, face painting, an all-American cookout and prizes given for best patriotic attire. The evening will end with fireworks on the bayfront. Be sure to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
