MANATEE — Authorities have arrested a Bradenton man on a charge he robbed a local bank last week, and suspect he may have robbed the same bank before, according to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Detectives arrested Jamie Ray Vickers, 41, in the July 17 robbery of the Fifth Third Bank branch in the 5300 block of 26th Street West. Investigators received a tip that Vickers robbed the bank after a witness saw surveillance video of the robbery released by the sheriff’s office.
Vickers is accused of carrying a revolver during the robbery, and detectives arrested him on an armed robbery warrant today.
He is also suspected of robbing the same bank branch on April 28, but has not yet been charged in that case.
