BRADENTON — Authorities have arrested a Punta Gorda man on a computer solicitation charge after a 14-year-old Bradenton girl reported the man entered into a chat online that was sexual in nature.
The Florida Attorney General’s Office said the girl told a parent of the chat, and the parent called the Bradenton Police Department. Detectives then began posing as the girl during online chats and set up a meeting with the man.
Investigators say Adam Nelson Norsell, 24, arrived in Bradenton to meet the girl. He had with him a copy of a poem titled “Forbidden,” according to the attorney general’s report.
Bradenton police, along with the attorney general’s cybercrime task force, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Florida Highway Patrol all took part in the investigation.
Norsell was arrested Monday on charges of solicitation of a minor via computer and traveling to meet a minor, according to the attorney general’s office.
