BRADENTON — The Manatee County Health Department announced the county’s fourth and fifth confirmed cases of swine flu Friday afternoon.
The fourth case was a 6-year-old boy who was treated at a local medical facility and has recovered, according to a health department release. The fifth case is a 20-year-old man who was treated locally and is recovering at home.
The health department says the swine flu virus continues to be widespread but generally has been mild. People with a cough, fever and fatigue, possibly with diarrhea and vomiting, should contact their health-care provider.
