MANATEE — Deputies arrested a Manatee man on a charge of growing marijuana in his house, where his 8-month-old daughter lives, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report.
Sheriff’s deputies went to the home of Anthony M. Davi, 25, in the 3200 block of 48th Avenue Drive West, to serve his brother with an outstanding warrant.
A deputy knocked on Davi’s door and he answered with his baby in his arms. The deputy asked to search his home for his brother, and Davi said “you’re not going to like what you see inside,” the sheriff’s report said.
Deputies found three boxes in the home with marijuana growing in them. Investigators confiscated 592 grams of marijuana, and also found an unloaded rifle and pistol.
