MANATEE — A night of partying in Ybor City turned into a melee in a Parrish convenience store parking lot as a woman bit two friends during fight, then spit on a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy who responded to the ruckus.
Two friends of Sarah T. Salwin, 32, of Parrish, told deputies Salwin attacked and bit both of them after becoming angry during a fight in the parking lot of a 7-11 store in the 8700 block of U.S. 301.
The friends said they had returned from Ybor City and were arguing when Salwin became hysterical and they called 911. When Salwin found out her friend had called authorities, she grabbed the woman’s phone and bit the woman.
When another friend tried to get Salwin off the woman, Salwin also bit the man, the sheriff’s report said. Deputies arrested Salwin when they arrived and she began kicking the windows of a patrol car. A deputy opened the door to restrain her and Salwin spit in the deputy’s face.
