MANATEE — A robbery this afternoon led to Harllee Middle School being put on lockdown as Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched for four juvenile suspects, according to a sheriff’s report.
The sheriff’s report said the victim reported being robbed at gunpoint of cash and jewelry as he rode his bicycle in the 6100 block of 12th Street East. The victim said four juveniles approached him, one of whom had a handgun.
Sheriff’s deputies were able to capture two of four juveniles believed to have taken part in the robbery, but the names of suspects have not been released.
The search for the robbers led a lockdown at Harllee Middle School, 6423 Ninth St. E., but the lockdown has since been lifted.
