Bank robbery suspect nabbed after Bradenton heist

MANATEE — Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested a man suspected of robbing a bank this afternoon in Manatee.

Andrew Huddleston, 30, of address unknown, is being charged with armed eobbery.

Sheriff’s spokesman Dave Bristow said a man entered a Bank of America branch at 7223 55th Ave. E., near the Tara area, at about 2 p.m., implied he had a gun and demanded money.

The man fled with cash from the bank and was spotted by sheriff’s deputies riding a bicycle on 55th Avenue East a few blocks from the bank. The man took off behind a Publix grocery store, at 7290 55th Ave. E, after a dye-pack exploded as he rode his bicycle. Deputies found the man hiding behind the store and arrested him.

Deputies remain at the bank and at the grocery store as the robbery is still under investigation.
