MANATEE - An armed robber made off with an undisclosed cash from a Manatee bank this morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The man entered the Fifth Third Bank at the corner of 26th Street West and 53rd Avenue West about 11 a.m. The suspect, who was carrying a bag, approached a teller and said "something to the effect that 'this is a withdrawl,'" a sheriff's office news release stated.
The suspect then held the bag open and showed the teller the butt of a gun.
After taking the cash, the suspect fled on foot eastbound across the parking lot.

No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect was described as being between 25 and 35 years old and standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 180 to 200 pounds. He has a beer belly and brownish blond hair, according to the sheriff's office.
