BRADENTON — A bank robbery this afternoon at a SunTrust Bank branch on U.S. 41 is being investigated by sheriff deputies.
The robbery was at 2:10 p.m. at the SunTrust Bank in the 5700 block of 14th St. W., Bradenton, according to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Witnesses say a male suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and showed a note demanding money, according to sheriff’s reports. The suspect implied he was armed but no weapon was seen. He then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a middle-aged white male, 6 feet tall, 180-200 pounds, with balding hair.
