BRADENTON — Bradenton Police detectives are trying to interview a teenage boy who showed up shot in the face at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
The 16-year-old boy came to the hospital after 1 p.m., but has not cooperated with investigators about the shooting, according to Bradenton Deputy Chief J.J. Lewis. The boy, whose name was not released, is being airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg with non life-threatening injuries, according to police at the hospital.
Detectives are sill trying to determine where the shooting took place. The shooting is believed to be gang-related, Lewis said.
