A 44-year-old man has been charged with robbing a local credit union earlier this week, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Timothy Casey was arrested Thursday evening, after deputies responded to an attempted shoplifting at the Best Buy store in the 4200 block of 14th Street West, Bradenton, according to a news release. Deputies made contact in the parking lot and identified Casey as the man wanted for the robbery on Monday of the Florida Central Credit Union in the 4500 block of Fifth Street West. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.
Casey was identified as the suspect from a photo taken at Ross department store shortly after the robbery. An arrest warrant had been obtained Wednesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
