If you have tuned into a country music station at any time in the 21st century, there's a good chance you've heard a Dierks Bentley song.
Since his debut album in 2001, Bentley has recorded 18 singles that have made the country charts. Five of his eight studio albums have reached No. 1 on the country charts, and two others, including a greatest hits album, made it to No. 2.
In other words, Bentley is quite possibly the most popular country music star of the millennium.
Bentley is bringing his Sounds of Summer Tour to the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa today. That's the last night before a three-day weekend for a lot of people, so the energy ought to be cranked up.

Besides the man himself, the tour also includes three up-and-coming acts that Bentley hand-picked: Maddie and Tae, the young duo best known for "Girl in a Country Song," who played at the Manatee County Fair in January; Kip Moore, who scored a No. 1 hit with "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck" and Canaan Smith, who had a top-10 country hit last year with "Love You Like That."
