The Manatee County Radio Controllers will host the annual Dick Cole Memorial Model Airplane Show 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 13-15. Pilots in various types of aircraft will fill the skies over the park with many different aircraft. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the beauty of flight while working on your tan. The Anna Maria Island Art League's annual juried art festival, Springfest, will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 14-15 at Holmes Beach City Hall Field, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach. Admission is free. Art lovers can browse and purchase paintings, glass, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, fiber arts, photography, wood and more from the artists who create the artwork at this two-day event.
