Dick Cole Memorial Model Airplane Show: 7315 71st Ave. E., Palmetto

The Manatee County Radio Controllers will host the annual Dick Cole Memorial Model Airplane Show 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 13-15. Pilots in various types of aircraft will fill the skies over the park with many different aircraft. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the beauty of flight while working on your tan. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. During the noon-time break, There will be a demonstration of precision and aerobatic flying at noon-time breaks. Admission: $2 donation per car. Sarasota Bradenton Home Show: Bradenton Area Convention Center, One Haben Blvd., Palmetto

The Sarasota Bradenton Home Show will be held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. March 13-14 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 15. The home show is the largest in the area an will feature more than 200 exhibits including kitchens, baths, windows, doors, solar products, flooring, interior designs, pools, spas and more. 26th annual Anna Maria Island Art League Springfest: Holmes Beach City Hall Field, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach

The Anna Maria Island Art League's annual juried art festival, Springfest, will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 14-15 at Holmes Beach City Hall Field, 5801 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach. Admission is free. Art lovers can browse and purchase paintings, glass, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, fiber arts, photography, wood and more from the artists who create the artwork at this two-day event. Food vendors include seafood, barbecue, ice cream, fresh lemonade, corn dogs and more. There will be a children's art exhibit and activities; Western swing and bluegrass music performed by Anna Maria String Band, Howie Banfield & Scott Blum's Drum Bunny, and Washboard Band (Saturday). The Anna Maria Island Privateers will hold a Thieves Market 8 a.m.-3 p.m. March 14 featuring various vendors offering fruit, vegetables, baked goods, antiques, jewelry, crafts, yard sale items and much more. Main Street Live! St. Patrick's Day Celebration & Third annual Shamrock 5K Run/Walk and Pub Crawl: Old Main Street, between Manatee and Third avenues, Bradenton

Old Main Street Merchants Association will host downtown's most popular street party "Main Street Live!" 4 p.m.-midnight March 14 featuring vendors and live Irish rock music from The Dram beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The third annual Shamrock 5K Run/Walk will begin with registration at 3 p.m. March 14. Kids Leprechaun races are at 3:30 p.m., the 5K Chip Times Run is at 4:30 p.m. A pub crawl will follow the race activities. There will be a costume contest and corporate challenge. Fourth Irish Celtic Festival: Greenbrook Adventure Park, 13400 Adventure Place, Lakewood Ranch

Lakewood Ranch Community Activities will host its fourth annual Irish Celtic Festival 11 a.m.-4 p.m. March 14 featuring various booths offering Celtic items for sale and information of Celtic Cultural Heritage, Irish and Scottish dancers, a demonstration of Irish Hurling and Gaelic Football, a mini-hoops challenge, a puck-shoot contest in the skate rink, traditional Irish and Celtic fare, craft beers from Ireland and Scotland, children's activities, music by the Braden River Pipers, a dog parade and much more. Admission is free, food and beverage are available for purchase. Registration for the dog parade is $5 in advance or $10 day of event. Proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Lakewood Ranch. Palmetto Heritage Festival: Palmetto Historical Park and Manatee County Agricultural Museum, 515 10th Ave. W., Palmetto

Palmetto will celebrate women at the Heritage Festival 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 14 featuring a park open house, musical entertainment, children's activities, heritage crafts demonstrations, a petting corral and a North River Fire Department Children's Firefighter Challenge. The Woman's Club of Palmetto will host its annual Chicken and Yellow Rice Luncheon for $12 at 910 Sixth St. W., across the street from the park, and the Palmetto Public Library will have a Heritage Day Book Sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission and parking is free. Beach market at Coquina: Bradenton Beach

Come and stroll the beach market at Coquina 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 15 featuring fresh produce, arts and crafts, jewelry, local artists, apparel, pottery, purses, collectibles, health and beauty items and much more. Special music this week will be provided by Larry Wilhelm. Donations of non-perishable food and clothing for those in need are welcome. Bridge Street Market: Bridge Street, Bradenton Beach

The Bridge Street Market will run Sundays through April 26, except for Easter Sunday. Market hours are 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The market offers area produce and plant vendors, arts and craft vendors, funky beach style gifts, jewelry, clothing, home decor, food, fun and more.
