Anna Maria Island Art League is seeking artwork for its “Young at Art” youth art exhibit, to be displayed at Springfest Fine Arts and Fine Crafts Festival in Holmes Beach March 12 and 13, 2011. The exhibit is open to any elementary, middle or high school student in Manatee County. Only original two-dimensional art will be accepted. Elementary school artists must attach entries to a standard 18” x 12” piece of black construction paper. Middle and High School students are asked to submit matted work. All students are asked to attach a 3” X 5” index card with the student’s name, age, school, medium and title to the lower right hand corner of the construction paper Artwork may be submitted to AMI Art League at 5312 Holmes Blvd, Holmes Beach, 9:30 – 3:30 p.m. Tuesday – Friday. Or, if a school collects multiple entries, arrangements can be made for the league to pick up the work. The deadline for all entries is Friday, March 4, 2011. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded in elementary, middle and high school categories. All submitted work will be on display at Springfest.
