To discuss Library System’s strategic plan
Manatee County announces that a Town Hall meeting to be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the first floor auditorium at the Manatee County Central Library. The public is encouraged to attend.
The library system has been gathering information for its revised strategic plan, which sets the course of library operations for the next five years. An up-to-date strategic plan is one of the requirements for the library system to maintain its eligibility to continue to receive State Aid funding, which is utilized to supplement its annual budget for purchasing books.
Included in the strategic plan are Library policies, services, and growth projections.
At the meeting, the library’s Long Range Planning Committee will report its findings from recent public focus group sessions, as well as a month-long public survey that concluded on January 15. Members of the general public will have an opportunity to comment during this Town Hall Meeting.
For more information, please call the library at 941.748-5555, ext 6306. The Central Library is located at 1301 Barcarrota Boulevard West in downtown Bradenton, Florida.
